Trainer Geoff Duryea has scratched his sprinter Front Page from Saturday’s The Kosciuszko, after the galloper became fractious in its float while being transported.

It is confirmed that the horse sustained injuries to its near side eye and off hind leg, and is not in suitable condition to race on Saturday.

Slot holder William Farrer Hotel have selected Prairie Fire as Front Page’s replacement, with the runner to jump from barrier 8.

Prairie Fire is currently a $61 chance in The Kosciuszko.

From Muswellbrook to the Melbourne Cup, Will is mad about all things racing and sport. Spent countless hours in the backyard as a child pretending to be Glenn McGrath, and has been known to get deadly late swing with a taped tennis ball.
