Ciaron Maher and David Eustace brought the colt down to Melbourne late last week ahead of his next task.
“He’s travelled down really well and he’ll have a couple of nice gallops heading into next week,” said Eustace.
“He’ll be carrying 52kg in the Moir and Craig will be riding.
“Obviously we have a really big opinion of him and back to the 1000m at The Valley he’ll be able to jump and run and keep that sustained speed and be hard to catch, I’m sure he’ll get some of those other horses out of their comfort zones.”
Anders is currently the $2.50 favourite for the 2020 Moir Stakes, with Fabergino ($6), Bella Vella ($8), Hanseatic ($8), and Pippie ($9) the next in line.
