The decision has been made as a result of the dropping case numbers in Victoria, with Racing NSW’s biosecurity expert feeling it is appropriate to continue to ease the travel restrictions regarding horses from Victoria.
The policy will allow all horses from Victoria to travel to New South Wales with the necessary hygiene and social distancing measures in place.
Previously, only Victorian horses outside of the Melbourne metropolitan area were permitted to travel to New South Wales.
