Brideoake Thinks Princess Jenni is Overs in Zipping Classic

Fri 13th November 2020

Princess Jenni beat boom horse Pondus last start in the Group 3 Bendigo Cup (2400m) and lines up in Saturday’s Group 2 Zipping Classic (2400m) at near double figure odds ($9.50).

Trainer David Brideoake believes that is overs, especially with Pondus running second in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Flemington.

“She’s $10 or something. Well she’s there,” Brideoake said.

“You can only take a line on her last race, because that’s the only time she’s gone to a mile and a half. Well, jeez you’ve got to be happy you’re going to a mile and a half the second time because the first time was a very good effort.

“This is an ideal trip and the horse is in fine condition. I’m really happy to see her go to Sandown, I think it’s a lovely track.

“I’m looking forward to Saturday. She doesn’t put in bad runs, she’s a good horse and I hope with some luck we are somewhere there in the finish.

“She’s in fine shape. Her work this week has been terrific,” Brideoake said.
