Alligator Blood and trainer David Vandyke will part ways, with colourful owner Allan Endresz confirming the news via social media on Sunday night.

In a post on the Alligator Blood Facebook page detailing the split and future plans for the star galloper, it is alleged that some of the ownership group and David Vandyke had a falling out during Alligator Blood’s recent Sydney spring campaign.

After a disappointing winless spring campaign, it has been revealed that Alligator Blood will undergo surgery to fix a spine problem, which is expected to require four to six months on the sidelines.

A new trainer has yet to be confirmed, with connections reportedly looking at options in both Melbourne and Sydney.

From Muswellbrook to the Melbourne Cup, Will is mad about all things racing and sport. Spent countless hours in the backyard as a child pretending to be Glenn McGrath, and has been known to get deadly late swing with a taped tennis ball.
