English trainer William Haggis has confirmed that he is bringing star galloper Addeybb back to Australia to defend his two Group 1 titles down under, the Ranvet Stakes (2000m) and the Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m).
“At the moment we are planning to come down mid-February, arrive the end of February and target the same two races,” Haggas said while speaking to Radio TAB early from England on Tuesday morning.
“I would love to try him over a mile and a half in the Tancred but the gap between it and the Queen Elizabeth is too short for a European horse.
“Two weeks is not long enough for it (to freshen up), so all being well it will be the Ranvet and the Queen Elizabeth.”

Addeybb formed a formidable partnership with English hoop Tom Marquand, who has also confirmed that he will be heading down under for another Australian autumn campaign.
Addeybb is currently the $7 second elect for the Queen Elizabeth Stakes, with Caulfield Cup winner Verry Elleegant the $5 favourite.
