2020 Spring Champion Stakes Final Field, Odds, & Barrier Draw

A capacity field of 14 plus one emergency has been assembled to contest the 2020 Spring Champion Stakes, with last start winners Love Tap and Montefilia the early favourites.

Love Tap was impressive in victory in the Gloaming Stakes (1800m), making it a perfect four wins from four career starts, but will have to contend with barrier 14 on Saturday.

Montefilia caused a big upset when she took out the Flight Stakes (1600m) at double figures, getting the better of Hungry Heart and Dame Giselle, with Miravalle also coming out of that race.

Victorian based Cherry Tortoni is next in the market at $6, as he steps up to 2000m on his path towards the VRC Derby.
